utpatient Registered Nurse (RN) – VA Medical Center
Location: Sheridan, Wyoming
Work Location: On-site, Sheridan VA Medical Center, 1898 Fort Road, Sheridan, WY 82801

Cetechs is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide outpatient nursing services supporting Veterans at the Sheridan VA Medical Center.

The RN will provide professional nursing care in accordance with VA requirements, applicable clinical standards and established plans of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify nursing-care requirements.
• Provide direct professional nursing services.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Monitor patient response to medications and therapies.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical staff.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions.
• Follow VA patient-safety, infection-control, privacy and HIPAA requirements.
• Participate in required staff and quality-improvement meetings.
• Complete all required VA clinical and administrative training.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved professional nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current RN license in at least one U.S. state, territory, commonwealth or D.C.
• Current CPR.
• Current BLS.
• ACLS when assigned to a specialty clinic.
• Minimum 1 year direct patient-care experience within the previous 3 years .
• Ability to complete VA credentialing/privileging.
• Ability to meet required health, immunization, background and training requirements.
