Weld SupervisorBig Tex Wills Point - Wills Point, TX 75169Position SummaryThe Weld Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of welders to safely produce high-quality trailers while meeting daily production goals. This position provides hands-on leadership by coaching employees, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead daily welding operations to meet production schedules.Train, coach, and develop welders on safety, quality, and welding techniques.Monitor employee performance and hold team members accountable for attendance, productivity, and quality.Ensure all welds meet engineering specifications and company quality standards.Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.Assist with welding and fabrication as needed to support production.Identify and resolve production, quality, and equipment issues.Ensure employees have the tools, materials, and resources needed to perform their work.Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve efficiency and achieve production goals.Perform other duties as assigned.Core CompetenciesLeadership & AccountabilityTeam Development & CoachingProduction Planning & ExecutionQuality AssuranceSafety LeadershipCommunicationProblem SolvingConflict ResolutionTime ManagementDecision MakingAt Big Tex Trailers, our Weld Supervisors lead by example. They are hands-on leaders who prioritize safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement while developing high-performing teams that deliver exceptional products to our customers.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Strong knowledge of welding processes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.Experience troubleshooting welding defects and production issues.Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems preferred.
